Discoveries:
This week I
discovered that I can blow money fast! I have always been sort of frivolous with
money, in the past it was nothing for me to blow a thousand dollars on a great
outfit and a night on the town but when I reached my late twenties I realized
that although life was short, life required money. Tender, greenbacks, bread,
dough, paper and a hundred other urban colloquialisms to describe cash. Without
it life can be hard. So, when I recently fell into some extra change I vowed to
really do something positive with the money and bless those around me a few
unexpected gifts at unexpected times. Call it Christmas in February if you
will. I didn’t purchase anything too extravagant in fact, most of my gifts
involved more thoughtfulness that expense. I blew money fast to bless the ones
that I love and care about. So keep an eye out for the mailman, you may have a
special package on the way!
High Points:
This weekend I was afforded the opportunity to go to a special invitation only event featuring D Jones custom tailored clothing. Not only was this the first event of its kind that I have ever attended, it was a melting pot of Dallas’s elite. Dozens of movers and shakers packed into a secret downtown location to experience fine scotch and the new D JONES TAILORED COLLECTION. Some of the patterns and outfits were remarkable. As a novice, I would have never thought to combine some of the color palettes and textures. I now know where to go for that “go-to-suit”. Look up the company, you won’t regret it.

Low Points:
Settling: This wicked word
has forced me to challenge it for all of 2012 and in 2013 I refuse to put up
with it. I understand that every person with a dream is not waking up and
although many of us dream BIG achieving your dream is still possible, at any
age! As my grandfather used to say, if wishes were Cadillac’s there would be
traffic jams because every mutha_______
would have one. What he didn’t take into consideration was Larry Elder’s
quote: “A goal without a plan is just a wish.”
So if I have a plan, I can meet my goal and my dream no longer becomes a
wish. Now where’s my damn Cadillac?!?!
DAILY INSANITY:
Two Words: Schwinn Bicycles
As a kid I used to watch the Bozo show. Heck, most of the children in the Midwest tuned in every morning before school and one of the most exciting parts of the show was the Grand Prize Game. You remember. It was that infamous throw-the-ball-into-the-bucket competition at the end of the show before the Grand March where a preteen had the chance to win a prize. What do you ask? Well in the words of the late Bozo the Clown himself, “A shiny new Schwinn Bicycle!” well, I never made it onto the show and unfortunately I never had the chance to win me one. However, I vowed to make my childhood dream come true one day. Well, yesterday afternoon I purchased me a pair of Schwinn bicycle. These cruiser style bikes will set my summer off something proper-like. WOO HOO, only 32 more things to cross off of my bucket list.
