Discoveries:
Today I discovered that being in a relationship is the bee’s knees. If you are married then that’s even better. Sure it’s work and it takes sacrifice but two people can do more together than they could ever accomplish alone. Call me lame, call me a hopeless romantic but it’s true. I can only speak for myself when I say that I’m miserable without love. As a younger man I can remember dreams of being this super bachelor complete with phenomenal two-seater, downtown loft and seemingly endless bank account. I was supposed to have a six-pack, a designer wardrobe and all of my weekends prioritized with speed dating, exotic cooking and activities. What I didn’t know was that I didn’t need (or require) any of those things. I’m much happier with my sedan and suburban two-story with a lil’ change in the bank. I am much more content being prison swole with a budding muffintop, wearing clothes off the rack and spending my weekends. Love stretches you and forces you to find comfort in compromise and realize the unreal. My woman is all women and there is no need for speed dating because I have all the variety I need in her.
High Points:
This weekend I
was afforded the opportunity to get in a little relaxation. Nothing helps you
find nirvana faster than the blissful corridors of a spa. I soaked, sauna’ed, steam
roomed and sweat away my pain with breaks in between to hydrate and feat on
Asian cuisine until I was in paradise. In 2013 I vow to take at least 1 day per
month to pamper myself in a spa. Stress is one of the leading causes of
disease. Why not make time to rejuvenate?
