Creativity Walk

Discoveries:

Today I discovered that I have over 400 pieces of unique content on Apple iTunes. Over the years I strived to make some form of meaningful contribution to the Arts and the world for that matter and in a small way, I believe I’ve done just that. My online radio effort THE CREATIVE SOUL show has featured creativity in its purist form for more than five years. With lots of blood, sweat and tears by hook or by crook I was able to interview, chat with and showcase some of the world’s most splendid imaginatives. I have interviewed, musicians, artists, business owners, athletes, exotic dancers and professionals alike. Even after a full year hiatus, the show is still very much in demand, especially overseas. I never wanted a career in radio but it looks like it has been the vehicle to help other get out their ideas, dreams and art. Want to check out what real art sounds like? Go to Apple iTunes and search “CREATIVE SOUL” or John R Williams and you’ll see (and hear) for yourselves.

High Points:

Disneyworld was everything that I hoped it would be. The theme parks, fireworks and family bonding time made the entire investment of time and money worth it in the end. For every challenge, there were three or four victories. While there are too many to name, some of the highlights were as follows:

·         Seeing the wonderment in my sons eyes as they watched fireworks in Magic Kingdom

·         Going on almost every ride with FASTPASSES – No 60 minute waiting for Team Williams

·         Watching my wife tan in her two-piece  to a near perfect honey brown at the Waterpark

·         Not having to fight traffic or touch a steering wheel for a full week courtesy of Disney

·         Watching my boys be boys as they frolicked in the sands at the beach resort

·         Creating memories that will last a lifetime and starting a new tradition

Low Points:

During the last week I must have walked over 100 miles, literally. When you go to Disneyworld what they don’t tell you is that when you get back your feet will go on strike and the discs in your back will threaten to sit you down if you don’t take Aleve. Somehow, even with CROCS and being in shape the walking took its toll on my. I lost about four pounds just walking. We were forced too. It wasn’t like we could whip out our Schwinn’s and bike everywhere. When the night fell all I could think about was attacking my bed and taking a Tylenol PM. I am not complaining, just ranting…..

Themes for the Day
·         How much are your foot massages?
·         One foot in front of the other
·         Take longer strides
·         Can we sit down?

DAILY INSANITY:
Three Words: Back From Vacation
Well, with every vacation there comes that moment towards the end when you realize that it will all be over soon. You’ll go back to work, and get back into the proverbial swing of things. That moment came for me just now. Bummer! Oh well, I planned for this. I took a few extra days and decided that I needed a vacation from my vacation. Aside from resting up and getting mentally prepared for the coming weeks ahead I must prepare for the Summer Semester at Dallas Baptist University (DBU) , plan my next strategic career move and accomplish two things I vowed to be done with before 2014; my novel and my screen treatment.

Question of the day

Where would you vacation if you had all the time in the world and money was no object??
