A bide by me

Discoveries:

This week I discovered that I am almost there! Where you ask? Anywhere I choose to go. I don’t know why it’s the case but I have one of the most intense fires lit under my ass to be successful. Not just your run-of-the-mill typical success, I want to reach that remarkable, beyond your wildest dreams level of success reserved for the best of men. It’s weird too because in certain arenas average is good. At par is even celebrated but in my heart it’s not even worth mentioning. I feel privileged to be the kind of person that always wants more. Never mind the naysayers and deleterious comments which get strung together, I feel, more remarkably now than ever that I can win. Why is that? Trust me, I am not complaining, just curious. Perhaps it was berthed from dispossession. When you grow up not having you want. So wherever I’m headed just know, it’s likely that I’ll get there.

Low Points:

 WORD OF CHOICE - - - - - BIDE:

As in to endure, bear or remain. It’s the act of waiting for a favorable opportunity. How many of us are biding our time? Whether it’s playing the waiting game for a raise, a better job, a new spouse or passion in life. The best thing about biding is also the worst thing. The postponement, it’s what separates men from their purpose. Playing the waiting game takes skill. Much like the game of chess you have to be of constant calculation understanding that framework behind the philosophy. If this then that, if that, then this.  Finding your moment is sometimes as easy as waiting. Be still.

DAILY INSANITY:
Five Words: Get in Your Own Bed!
Who told all the toddlers on planet earth it was okay to sneak into your bed in the dead of night and lay in between you and your spouse? This week my 5 year old has infiltrated my place of slumber. What’s worse is that he takes up all the room and covers on my bed. Would it make me a bad parent if I had the urge to kick him in his little back jarring him off my pillows? He always uses the same excuse too, “Daddy, I was scared.” Scared of what? He tricked me, he wasn’t scared at all, and he merely wanted to feel the comfort of my pillow top mattress. He’s not slick.
