Life Warrior!

Discoveries:

Today I discovered that sometimes it takes a warrior’s mentality to get through life. Naturally one does not prefer to turn every aspect of our existence into a challenge. In fact, most people actually prefer a stress-free day but in order to handle all the defiance that gets thrown our way we must possess champion traits that allow us to be competitive when battling life’s ills. We have the power to defeat the monster. Trials, tribulation and hardship come with the job. As long as you have the must-haves you’ll be fine. Here’s my list, check it out:

High Points:

This week I was the consummate companion and an All-Star Dad. My wife is the rock in my family and although she weighs a very attractive 120lbs she bears more than a hundred times her weight emotionally and psychologically. When I’m down in the dumps, depressed, angry or feeling like crap she steps in and lifts me up. This week was my turn; I made meals, picked up the kiddos, massaged feet, listened to girl talk and watched chick flicks. She is worth it. I also came through for my boys too. My son earned some pretty amazing grades in school (he said that he would) so to reward him I gave him kudos and cash!  My toddler doesn’t care about money (yet) instead, he requires playtime. He absolutely loves board games. I must have spent 30 hours playing combinations of checkers, chess and Chutes and Ladders. That’s what being a man is about.

Low Points:

Somehow I let a full week escape me without doing anything significant for myself. Perhaps my to-do list wasn’t robust enough. Who knows? On a personal level, I set out to do more than I accomplished. Not to worry, I have this week to make it happen!
