Discoveries:
Today I discovered that Las Vegas has claimed a piece of my heart. I am on the strip, viva Las Vegas! I’ve visited Sin City six times in the last decade, maybe more. I can’t remember. What I do remember are all of the lights, excitement, possibility and vigor of the city lights and night life. Most people describe their dream vacation in 2-D. IT involves a beach and hot weather. How boring, I crave interaction, 4-D stimulation and the element of chance. I would tell you details of my itinerary but as the old adage says, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
High Points:
I had a productive week. I was absolutely golden! I set appointments, met decision-makers, exceeded my marketing goals and earned coin. Sales are a bit like Vegas, or gambling rather. You roll the dice each day hoping you will land interest and a verbal commitment to proceed. Most people would rather embrace the security of a steady pay and forfeit the chance to write their own check. Not me, I love the grind.

Low Points:
Vegas shuttle services need severe help. First the hang up sob-story signage in the vessel begging you to help the drivers feed their families with your tips and just when you give in to the ploy the driver decides to take 35mins to pull off from the terminal at the airport. You should have seen all the angry riders, myself included, yelling out the windows. Seriously, when you land in Vegas you are ready to hit the town, not hug your shuttle seat. The expletives were vicious enough to turn the driver into the infamous Mr. Freeze. This jerk decides to retaliate by blasting the A/C despite the fact that its fifty degrees outside. Thank God I have my loving wife there to convince me that I wasn’t the old me….
