I'm feelin like Rocky these days!

Discoveries
Today I discovered I have the same story and Rocky. By Rocky, I mean, Rocky Balboa. You know, the iconic fighter from the City of Brotherly Love who fought the champ for the title? Since I was a young boy I have had big dreams and small pockets but I used a simple formula to carve out my share of success pie.
Here it is:

Determination:

This is the most basic of necessities . Determination is the trait that winners have that makes it impossible for them to give up. It’s like an internal ON-AIR switch that goes on whenever I’m ready to quit. Coaches and motivator are cool to have but real champions motivate themselves!

Resilience:

Like Rocky Balboa said in his movie, “Life is not about how hard you can hit! It’s about how much you can take!” Over the years I’ve watched my number increase. When I say number I mean the number of punches it takes to knock me down. I grew my number through my ability and will to get back up.

Hard Work:

I don’t have the widest skill-set. There are many things that I know how to do well. Then there are the things with which I know nothing about. What separates me from the field is that I outwork everyone. I am willing to stay up the extra hour, make the extra call, run the extra mile, shoot the extra shot and stay the distance with a thing. That’s what detaches me.

 Faith:

I am a believer. If you really want to get technical, I am saved. I believe in God and know that Christ died for my sins. Insomuch, I am also beautifully flawed and far from perfect. However, each day I confess and speak to Him. I ask for help, guidance, provision and favor then believe in His power so blindly that no one can convince me otherwise. This belief is called faith.

Pop Quiz: How can you tell if you have a winner’s spirit?
Answer: When everyone has lost belief in you somehow you still believe in yourself

High Points:

Today I get to go to the theatre! I love the Arts as a creative soul I am burdened with the power of the arts daily. Unlike inert minds, I don’t try to fight it, run or hide from  it. I have realized that the Arts will always be a part of my life and I will always be exposed, quench by or have my existence nurtured by it. I will be going to my favorite venue in the Dallas area; The AT&T Performing Arts Center.

Live Theatre beats cinema any day!
The acoustics in here are simply fabulous
Now who should I make my Arts Foundation check out to?

Low Points:
I haven’t broadcast a radio show in about three weeks. What a shame too. I usually cover some pretty interesting topics. Not to worry. I will get back on the saddle soon.

DAILY INSANITY:
Two Words: PAY ME

No more freebies in business. My time is too valuable to waste on buyers who are not solemn. This includes buyers of my ideas, products or services.
