Discoveries:
Today I discovered that I may be a weekend warrior! I look forward to those precious 2 days a little more than the other days of the week, in fact, last week I received a Facebook message from Friday and she said that all the attention I was giving to Saturday and Sunday was making her jealous because she has always been my favorite day of the week. No seriously, I get excited about the notion that for those two days I can do something memorable, historic, profound, and productive. Take this weekend for instance, I have a full calendar planned: Chili Cook-off, 5k marathons, Painting a room in my house, shopping, Carpet Cleaning, Da Bears, Thanksgiving planning and working for two of my clients.
High Points:
I met a few superstars again this week: Nicki Minaj, Soulja Boy and Bun B from UGK. It was interesting to see each person when they are not in front of a flashing camera, crowded concert or in front of a TV crew. I honestly believe that behind the glamour and glitz people are just people. Case and point: Bun B threw off his hat, a few tee shirts and even money into a crowd just because then afterwards chatted with me about music and how to remain relevant in the industry. Nicki Minaj admitted on air that she used to work at Red Lobster and that she wishes should would have finished college. Soulja Boy told me about how he met with the Wall Street Journal and was interviewed regarding marketing tactics and how to properly create a viral internet buzz to secure a fan base. Amazing!
Low Points:
I need to stop smoking cigars, not for some over thought out health reason but because it’s starting to stink up my car. Despite having the window open during my enjoyment, a can of Febreeze under my seat just waiting to be sprayed and me never missing the golden rule of cigar chiefing in a car [Blow the smoke out the window instead of towards the dash] my ride still smells like a cigar. Good thing the flavored varieties I enjoy smell pleasant (to me) I am gonna have to kick the habit.
