Vacation Time

Discoveries:
Today I discovered that I want to travel! I want to see more of the U.S. Now I don't need to go on a one-month excursion around the world or see one of the seven wonders of the world. n fact, I'd be happy with Vegas or going to Frisco to enjoy the seafood and nightlife. I'd be content with taking a drive to New Orleans to party on Bourbon Street or hopping a train to Colorado and enjoy Merlot while speeding through the wilderness and mountain air. I guess it's time to save up and find me a travel deal. Bottom line, I need to just,,,go.

High Points:
I made over 100 calls to potential employers and made a superb effort to land jobs for my students. As you have deduced, I am in the education industry, well, kinda-sorta. This is an amazing accomplishment. Anyone can zip to Careerbuilder or Monster and post for jobs with the click of a button but making contact is a completely different animal. Have you ever been told the word "NO" five-hundred times in one day? I have, I've been insulted, cursed and called everything but a child of God and all I was trying to do was help a few men down find careers and make better lives for themselves and their families. If it takes a thousand no's, it's all worth if for that one "YES"

Low Points:
I haven't had a drink all week. Not a beer, wine, nothing. Its is a low point because I promised myself I would unwind with a nightcap more than twice this week but I couldn't keep that promise. The worst kind of promise you can break is the one you make to yourself. I guess I can have drinks when I vacation. I better get on it!

Question
What city should I enjoy a getaway in?
