Discoveries:
Clothes do make people feel better about themselves and their situation. It seems like when people know, or at least think, they look good they walk a little faster, straighten their backs, they speak with elevated language and a twang. Hell, they even smile more. God forbid you catch them on laundry day. Have you ever tried speaking to someone in a Laundromat when they have on those dingy wash day clothes? You are begging for an argument.
High Points:
I must say, I am one fine glass of chocolate milk. You should have seen me out there blessing the free world with my presence. I had on a smoke gray, pin-striped Kenneth Cole suit with a floral tie and felt like the Black Clark Gable. I received so many compliments that they started going to my head. I almost forgot that my gas tank was almost on light (Being on-light means that your gas tank is beyond the little letter "E" and you have like 10miles before your car stops, literally) that brought me right back down to earth. I guess those 7am ironman workout sessions are really starting to pay dividends. Woo hoo!
Low Points:
I went on a seemingly promising interview today and felt great about the exchange I had with the hiring manager. But hey, since when does the format of a person’s resume say more about the person than the actual person themselves? Back in the day you had a handshake and a man’s work ethic. Now, the field is saturated with laziness so employers have to be extra careful and read between the lines in order to make good decisions on the employees they choose to hire. Needless to say, my resume needed a major overhaul. I guess I’ll be up tonight reformatting.
