This week I discovered that if in order to earn the respect of a woman you’ve got to be a man of your word. If you say you’re going to do something, do it. Women like results. The irony is that even if a woman doesn’t have the courage, bravado, impudence or nerve to do what they may ask you to do they expect you to do it. This is because you’re the man. Not a man but the man. They’re giving you a compliment. They’re saying to you that they trust you, believe in you and release control to you. Nothing reaffirms your manhood to a woman more quickly than a kept commitment. Be a man of your word. So, the next time you say you’re going to give her the world you better have a planet in your back pocket.

Low Points

I didn’t take it easy on the young fellas at the basketball court. I abused them. I made them look silly. They were puppets and I held the strings. Then just when they thought it was over I rained three-pointers on them from thirty feet or threw no-look passes from the top of the key. I played defense and was the floor general. My game exposed flaws in theirs and at best they were mildly competitive. I got game. Who’s got next? Let’s go.



 

DAILY INSANITY:
Three Words: Let’s Do Lunch
Over the next few months my plan is to perfect the power lunch. I want to become the guy that everyone enjoys inviting to lunch because they have a great time. Business lunches should be less about business and more about getting acquainted. Too often, green sales reps take clients out and immediately begin their closing initiative. They look at the person(s) across the table like they are a dollar sign instead of like a person. Just do lunch. Have great food, awesome drinks and dessert. Enjoy the ambiance and your company.
