Discoveries:

Today I discovered more about the life and death of my late father John Loggins. Growing up in a single-parent household tempers you like military-grade steel. The absence of a father helped me learn how to withstand. Over the years the stories got entangled in my mind. Call it repression or escapism, either way, as a child instead of focusing on how he or why he died I instead celebrated how he lived. I asked questions about his style, his intellect and his influence. I relived his life through pictures and stories, memorabilia and heirlooms like his watch and prom photo. As an older man, a father now myself, I take great pride in being a dad. Although I had no real blueprint I have used life experience, common sense and prayer to beat the odds and get the job done!

High Points:
My wife is glowing again! Every autumn I notice that the fall brings a certain glow to my queen. Her laugh is contagious, she is open to more new experiences and although she ages another year every October it seems like she is getting younger and younger. In fact, she has taken an interest in bodybuilding and yoga. It never looks like she’s beat or too exhausted to spend time with the hubs. Perhaps it’s the autumnal equinox or the changing of the weather but she’s smokin’ hot to me around this time of year.

Low Points:

Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. This past week I have seen some of the ugliest beautiful people on earth. To cite a few instances; I saw a striking blonde throwing her coffee on a homeless man who asked her for change. I saw a curvaceous vixen at a restaurant yelling at a senior citizen who got her order wrong and the crème de la crème, an attractive forty-something wife and mother of two throwing mashed potatoes in her children’s faces when they asked for brownies as a dessert. Unfortunately, a person’s outward appearance can sometimes have little to do with their inner beauty. I feel sorry for them. One day their beauty will fade and men will not eat out of their hands because they’ll be unattractive physically and have nothing to fall back on.

DAILY INSANITY:
Three Letters: CLR
Thank the Lord for this power packed cleaning agent! This weekend I was able to clean aged gunk off of nearly a dozen items. Who knew that soap scum could disintegrate so easily? I cleaned my coffee maker, shower head and brake dust off of my rims. I wish they made a CLR for people’s mouths. They could call it CPR.

Question of the day
If you could use CLR to clean things out of your life what would you clean out?
