Discoveries: Today I discovered that 2010 was a tough year. Job loss, housing woes, shorter money, parenting challenges, weird weather, we missed Disneyworld, new house guests and health problems.....However, there were so many aspects of 2010 that should be celebrated. God has blessed us with so much: New jobs, new vehicles, New paint in the house, new furniture, saw lots of new movies, new pet, new found love for Christ, new lungs (or at least it feels like I have new lungs because I quit smoking) new recipes, new friends, new experiences and a new vision.
High Points:
I bought all of the Christmas gifts for the family, the tree is up and we have all of the fixins for a decent Christmas dinner. God bless the local grocery store, they had an impressive collection of Cajun-Seasoned, Deep-Fried turkeys. In the South, that's how you do it. Hell, they fry everything and they are damn good at it too! We had one on Thanksgiving and it was the talk of the evening. Somehow, they inject it (literally) and infuse it with spices, herbs and oils. The end result is an amazingly juicy, flavorful explosion of delicious goodness that can never last more than a week in the left-over pile.
Low Points:
I am ashamed . I made a promise to myself to do a blog post daily but fate, as it seems, would not allow me to go forth with my initiatives. While I didn't hit the target, I did manage to amass 55 quality posts filled with feelings, emotions, ideas and rhetoric. Going forward, I will make a valiant effort to post every other day. This is feasible, I know it! Look for more edginess and more ramblings that challenge the norms and society's agenda.
Introducing.....DAILY INSANITY: In this section I will describe, to the best of my earthly ability, the most insane, trifling, absurd oddity I witnessed since my last post. This should be fun, I am looking forward to this new section. Woo hoo!
