Discoveries:
Today I discovered that every now and then you need to let your hair down, have a drink and just chillax! To me, there is no feeling like 8pm on a lounge chair with wine on a Saturday night! The breeze is keeping you cool, your belly is full, the house is clean and you have nowhere you need to be. Your blood pressure is low and you just relax in your urban oasis. If you want to achieve bonus points throw on some music from the seventies or any classic by Anita Baker and you are ready. I double dare you to try it and see if it doesn’t make you feel like a true grown-up.
High Points:
I rested. Doesn’t what I just wrote have a particular ring to it. I got some rest. I slept. Last night I was determined to find slumber, all week I had been challenging my body and pushing it to its limits trying to see if I could get projects done and still function with no rest. I was successful but as tired as a work mule. I took a sleep aid pill, grabbed a blanket and it was lights out! (Off topic comment coming) oh yeah and I’m also up to a 6lbs weight loss on this liquid cleanse and its only been a week. I so coulda been on that show The Biggest Loser….even though I only weight 220lbs,
Low Points:
I slept right through my AM plan of events. Each day I literally write a TO-DO list filled with things that are important to me and semi-difficult to accomplish. Example: Mow the lawn. Grant it mowing the lawn isn’t rocket science but there surely is more effort involved in mowing grass than taking a shower. Feel me? Well, I had this long list of TO-DO’s but no dice, I slept right through all of that . Maybe I can make it an AFTERNOON TO-DO List. I’m such a nerd sometimes.
Question
What important event have you slept through or fallen asleep at that embarrassed you?
