Start Fresh

Editor’s Note:

The year is almost over and even on the twenty-seventh day of December it still feels like nothing has changed. But so much has. I expanded my business and built a brand, I bought a new car and developed a love for running. I took to a journal and chronicled my actions to understand patterns and how I deal with situations.

But then I also experienced loss. Many dear friends are now gone, away from my life. My best friend lost his brother and since I looked at him in the same way, so did I. My wife lost her father and some dear friends lost their son.

There were some good losses though too, I lost extra baggage around my waist and shed more than 30lbs. I lost a few bad habits, smoking is no longer a part of my daily routine. I lost my fear of failing and not being enough for any given moment. Then to top it all off, I shed fear. I dove off of a diving board, went to the deep end of the pool. I tried new foods and made new acquaintances.

ART CRY is still a movement. I plan to continue to contribute locally and add new charities each month that help children in urban area get acquainted with Art.

Blue Da Comic –

My forthcoming interview with Blue will be the first one of 2015. I plan to kick off the year in grand fashion. I met Blue through a friend of a friend. He is as cool as a fan. The old hip-hop adage “real recognizes real worldwide” definitely applies to Blue. Tune in, the show should be hilarious!

Exhibit: World of Tomorrow

What will the World of Tomorrow look like? What will the car of the future look like? The field of medicine? Interpersonal relationships? Explore with us at Night at the Museum. Enjoy a fabulous evening with dinner and dancing while discovering the World of Tomorrow - the technology, innovation and possibilities that will shape our futures.

Night at the Museum, an annual event, is one important way the Perot Museum raises funds to support its mission of inspiring minds through nature and science. Proceeds from the celebration support the Museum’s operations, including on-site and outreach programs for pre-K through grade 12 and scholarships that allow students to visit the Museum, regardless of their school’s ability to pay. These funds also enable the Museum to continue ongoing research and collections management and to bring engaging traveling exhibitions to the Museum
