Expect More
Discoveries:
Today I realized that I expect more. I expect more from the world, from myself and out of life. There’s no honor in closing your eyes to the ultimate epiphany. Tragedies occur when we allow ourselves to be too timid to act on them. Doubtful reservations and second-guessing never helped anyone. Have the courage to act out your vision. Those vivid daydreams we have while staring at our PC’s, when we listen to music or drive to the office are not delusions, they are glimpses of our future. It’s all about our strategy. Like chess, the game changes but the pieces stay the same. Not the other way around.

Pop Quiz: How can you tell if it’s time for you to forfeit?
Answer: You’ve actually considered quitting.
High Points:
My sons have embraced music! My oldest son plays the violin and tuba and my youngest son has been dabbling with the piano. As a man who appreciates and understands the impact music can have on humanity, I’m so glad to see them embracing theory. Although I play three instruments and sing in my church choir I can’t take the credit for how they gravitated to music. My wife was the catalyst. She helped them hear the sound of music and she can’t even read, write or sing it. I love her for that! Who knows, maybe we’ll start a boy plus grown man band.

DAILY INSANITY:
Three words: Sitcoms on NBC
Three words: Sitcoms on NBC
Okay, I admit it. NBC has the best handle on late night comedy. I usually don’t watch TV at night (unless it’s a sporting event) but each week I look forward to Thursdays. That’s when The Office, Parks and Recreation and The Community air. If you are not a fan, I highly suggest you watch this triple-play of comedic virtuoso.
