Discoveries:
Today I discovered that there’s nothing like spending quality time with someone. I absolutely adore having a day that I can devote to hanging out with the one you love. Whether it’s your mom, brother, sister a lover or a friend, there is something astonishing about taking a few hours and spending it (creatively) out and about. Going to the movies, to have lunch, shopping or to the local area cafĂ© to enjoy conversation and Chai tea’s are all great ways to connect. You believe you are doing it for them but it’s really for you. The time you invest in relationships yield dividends later so call up that special person and invite them to spend the first half of Saturday with you.

High Points:
My airline gave me a FREE roundtrip ticket! I was stuck on an 8-hour layover in Atlanta Georgia due to weather and flight delays. Normally I would be rapturous about this undertaking but it was cold, rainy, dark and gloomy outside. Not to mention I was trying to make an appearance at a party that I was cordially invited too. Grant it, most parties don’t kick off until late but I still wanted to enjoy my hometown of Chicago for a couple of ticks before I got tipsy and danced the night away. Oh well, there I was, stuck and stupid. So, I reached into my negotiation bag, spoke with a reasonable Customer Service Manager and was able to score a round trip ticket to anywhere the US that the airline flies. Hmmmmm where and I going to go?
Low Points:
I shouldn’t be so hard on myself. I am my worst critic; in fact my worst is better than most people’s best. I do more before noon than the average person and I run a tally of to-do’s to ensure that I capitalize on my day and make the most of my time. The problem is that when I fail to meet my exorbitantly elevated expectations I feel bad and inadequate. Although my goals are high-minded I need to give myself a break. After all, I am wearing like seven or eight hats; I am a father, a lover, a friend, a business professional, an author, a radio show host, a filmmaker, a brother, a son,,,,,,I could keep going but I won’t. I said all of that to say that I am giving myself person to be human.

Question
If you were given a FREE roundtrip ticket and could fly anywhere in the US where would you go?
