Kiss from a Rose?

Discoveries:

Today I discovered that life is a metaphor. At times life can be so sheltered from random distinctiveness that it must repeat itself through replication. Have you ever gone through a challenge only to be presented with another challenge that was almost identical? Perhaps you denied yourself and made a conscious choice to refrain from enjoying pleasures because they were deemed by others to be forbidden. Maybe it was that pair of $500 heels, that new Benz coupe, that extravagant vacation or that shiny new timepiece, for whatever reasons you denied yourself. Some feel that by rejecting their impulses they are bettering themselves but I disagree. Not everything pleasurable is bad for you.

High Points:

I was on fire! Not literally (of course) but in a metaphorical sense. It seemed like everything I touched turned into gold. I was able to find a balance between asking for what I wanted and receiving what I believed I deserved. I will give you that one again… I was able to find a balance between asking for what I wanted and receiving what I believed I deserved. How many of you can say that you have reached that zenith. It is an awesome feeling, getting what you feel you’re worth that is. Every client I interacted with, every conversation and every presentation was met with acceptance. More importantly, I actually conjured up the nerve to ask for what I really wanted. I challenge you to do the same tomorrow. It takes true honest, with the world and with yourself.

Low Points:

I argued an issue out that wasn’t worth my time. Let’s examine that statement. It wasn’t so much the arguing that derailed my joy but the fact that my time was wasted. I am all for a healthy debate but time can’t be bought back. Consider how I could have used those fifteen minutes. Those minutes could be the last precious moments I get to spend with my sons, family, wife, God and I wasted them on you. That is what is so offending about the situation, Never mind me, I am just venting.

Daily Insanity:

TWO WORDS: Great Ballads - - - The age of crooning is coming back, only this time it will be women taking the lead with the begging, yelling and sobbing in their songs. But I love it though. Jazmine Sullivan, Adele, Ledisi, Marsha Ambrosius….I love you all!

N'dambi hands down.
"Can't Hardly Wait,"
"I don't know why I keep fuckin' wit you,"
She used to sing background for Erykah Badu and the baddest chick ever to rock a Coogie dress.
