Discoveries:
Today I discovered that everyone should embrace the Arts. Think about it, what other avenue gives you so many different forms of sensory satisfaction. You can see art, touch it, smell it, hear it and taste it if that’s how you get down. I recently visited a Performing Arts venue in Dallas along with a Cirque Du Soleil live show and was awestruck by the sheer magnificence of both the performance and the actual theatres themselves. As I stared at the intricacies of the designs I was reminded of the feeling I got as a child going to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago or to the Museum of Art. It truly is a breathtaking experience and I challenge you to open your mind and seek out Art proactively instead of just reacting to FREE and discount admission days. As an African American male it saddens me to see no other men whose faces look like mine when I take my kids to the theatre or to the museums. Let’s step our game up and expose ourselves and our seeds to the Arts.
Themes for the day….

High Points:
I found me a new briefcase! I know this may seem small to you but it is a big deal. My current briefcase was on its last leg though I loved it nonetheless. I have owned it for nearly six years. It is worn, tattered and tells a story all on its own. It’s been with me as I started at a fortune 500 companies and set the standard for Sales excellence along with a few other select few. It has accompanied me on interviews and to seminars. It’s seen the airport and rode shotgun beside me to countless customer appointments and client meetings. I feel like my briefcase is family so when I upgraded I needed to be sure that my new bag was not only at par but came with a few additional bells and whistles and could address the challenges I experienced from my previous bag. The new bag needed to be stronger and sturdier to handle my heavier demands, it needed to be complex and have many compartments and sides to embrace my new set of tools. I needed a bag that could compliment my style and the first impression I want to give at initial meetings. Guess what,,,,I found it! I will post pictures to Facebook!
Low Points:
I have been treating my car like an unwanted stepchild. It needs a new tire, a deep cleaning and professional detail along with some new floor mats. I haven’t made time. In one hand I just feel like trading in my ride for a new one but there’s something gratifying about taking care of something that’s yours. Wal-Mart may be my “help-me” I believe I can get all of the ingredients needed for an automotive masterpiece there and pump some life back into my Chrysler.
Daily Insanity:
Two Words: Silver Tongue - - - I have mastered words and have become an expert at social situations. I got my undergrad degree from the streets, my Masters in Corporate America, my PhD from closing deals and my honorary Nobel Prize from overcoming the hard knocks of life. I’m still here!

I'd like to say that I am grateful and appreciate my house and car. Many do not own these items. However, what needs to be replaced is all four tires on my mustang convertible and, although it really needs detailing, a re-upholstery afterward is really in order. My front porch stoop needs repair from crumbling, base cabinet in my kitchen and the jet is cracked on my whirlpool hot tub causing leakage in the atrocious basement, so it needs to be either repaired or replaced altogether, as does my bathroom window in there. What the hell, lets just gut it out and start all over again, or better yet, buy a new house, camaro, charger or BMW. Those are the items.
