Riddle me this....

Discoveries:

Today I discovered that people can be manipulative, greedy and selfish when it comes to getting what they want. In fact, most people inherently have a self-centered nature where they only look out for #1, themselves. I understand their reasoning, truly I do, what puzzles me is the extent they actually go to secure their place. Think about all of the people who turn into parking spaces in mall lots hurriedly when they saw your turn signal on and they knew you had been waiting to turn into a spot. What about all of the people who accept expensive gifts when they don't really need it or people who hop in front of old ladies in line at the supermarket who don't seem to move fast enough for their lightning pace. Consider the guy who glues himself to the tub and guards the television remote with his life then refuses to give anyone else in the household a shot at watching their favorite programs. What about the attention-hungry lover who can't handle you getting phone calls from anyone other than you who cuts the ringer on the house phone off because they want you all to themselves. All of these examples are common everyday displays of my discovery. I am pleading with you, don't be selfish. Be generous instead.

High Points:

Man I had $7 to my name and boy did I stretch out those 700 pennies! I love the 99cents store, between their vast selection of items and their seemingly never-ending list of bargains I am always able to find great movie snacks there. Am I embarrassed about shopping there for my munchies? No. Can I spend $100 in the store if you don't stop me? Yes. Will I spend all day in there and leave out with only like five things? You betcha. Free world listen, I scored a rare bag of Chocolate flavored rice cake chips with 0g of trans fat, four packages of Chicken flavored Ramen noodles (don't hate), a 4-pack of off brand lemon-lime soda, a bag of fruity tootsie roll chews and a box of microwave Kettle Corn. Are you hungry for a snack yet? Where, do you ask, did I get my shopping savvy? Where else? From Mama Williams!

Low Points:

It took me almost an hour to write this blog. Distractions assist failure like an unselfish championship point guard. Normally, it takes all of twenty minutes to conceive my ramblings but not today. While I love sharing my life with all who are willing to listen, this blog is more like a mental exercise. It allows me to do repetitions with prose and get my vernacular weight up. Perhaps I was sidetracked, maybe the ideas didn't come to me like they did yesterday. Either way, it took longer. But great things take time. If asked to describe your life, your day, how long would it take?

Daily Insanity:

Today's daily insanity was simple. I've got two words for you: Snow Storm

Question

Yes or No - Do you love what you want more than you love what you need?

When it comes to my needs I think of the word (K.I.S.S.) Keep it simple stupid! I look at my wants from a realistic point of view. My wants and needs are like Facebook, they tend to intermingle consistent enough, therefore I get a quick reality check if I'm neglecting the want of finishing my man cave b4 the superbowl or the summer versus the need of making private time for myself or getting out with the guys. Either way, it's a reminder of despite all of my hard work, I'm in need of some refreshment. Either way need or want, when I do get a moment to sit my ass down, I appreciate it so much more.
