Sleep on it

Discoveries:
Today I discovered that sometimes it’s better to sleep on it. Big decisions shouldn’t be approached lightly. They deserve your time and respect. How many times have you made a brash decision, without weighing all of your options and then turned around years later only to regret the decision you made. As a thinking man I am immensely involved in the psychiatric process, even if it means that I must become my own therapist. I ask all of the tough questions and respond honestly to myself. This diligence has proven helpful to me during times of great challenge and need. Grant it, sometimes you will sleep on a thing and wake up felling exactly how you felt before slumber, my advice you ask? Sleep on it again and again and again until it is brought to you. You will find that sometimes the answers are not clearly visible but they come to you in dreams like in the case of the biblical figure David. Be still.

High Points:
I went to a concert at an actual concert hall yesterday. For weeks I have been marketing an Al Jarreau performance the Eisemann Center in Richardson, TX . I have never been a die hard fan of this balladeer but after considering the words of my late grandfather, Richard Williams, I decided to open my mind and attend. My old G used to say, “People who don’t like jazz don’t have a soul.” I am so glad I went, not only was the venue itself mystifying and breathtaking structurally, the live jazz band really delivered. I was so inspired that I shared the moment with as many Facebook friends as I could through pictures and audio. Thanks Granddad! Check it out online: http://www.eisemanncenter.com/tickets/

Low Points:
Not too many low points from yesterday. I will acknowledge that I failed to wash my car and shave. Usually I am pretty well kept but I have been in a funk lately. My car and face are oftentimes reflections of my mood. If my car is dirty then I am probably going through something. I am nowhere near a neat freak, I do however value tidiness. Not to worry, I shaved right before I wrote this blog and I plan to wash my car after church so all is forgiven.

Daily Insanity:
Three words: Deep Fried Snickerbar!!! WTF

Question
What decisions should you sleep on?
