Discoveries:
Today I discovered that good things come to those who wait. Several months ago I applied for a prestigious position for a nationally recognized media company with offices in the Dallas area. IT was a long shot but nonetheless I have never been scared to apply for any kind of job let alone even try. Although there were experience requirements listed under the job description that I knew I didn't I have I knew that my work ethic, proven sales attainment, confidence, charisma and dedication to winning would compensate. Why not, is the question I asked of the company and of myself. Well, to keep a long story short, nearly six months and seven interviews later it brings me honor and great joy to announce that I got the job. More details to follow in later posts.
High Points:
I finally cut my boys hair, their dome pieces were looking like shaggy mop heads. They looked dry and neglected. What a shame too because as a hobby ( and extremely crafty way to save money each month) I am a budding barber.I have been fading, lining, shaping and grooming men of all ages. Now I can't say that I have tons of cool equipment, state of the art clipper blades or one of those really cool swivel chairs to use on my patrons (which usually consist of close friends and family) I can pull off some pretty serious looking cuts. Well, two hours and a half pound of hair later, my kids looked like young men instead of boys
Low Points:
I had that fever. Y'all know what I mean too. Sometimes it just latches onto you and every thought floating around in your head is centered around our favorite three-letter word. Yes, S.E.X. Surely I can't be the only one who has felt that burn during the middle of the day or late at night after all of the talk shows go off and nothing but infomercials are on. It's a low point because I had o talk about it, I shouldn't put all of my business on tha street but you guys are family.
Question
What are the best ways to cool that fever if you can't actually freak?

First off, congrats on the new job! I can imagine that it was hard for them not to see the mad charisma and promise you carry on your sleeves. But to answer the question, if you can't get some, there is no satisfying way to stop that heat. I just ride it out by doing something constructive and satisfying like working out.
