All for Love

Discoveries:
Today I discovered that even when it’s tough you’ve gotta take care of home. Sometimes it does feel like a too-long road trip filled with detours, construction and bad directions but in the end, it’s about the final destination, the goal. When you set out on a journey, you have to condition yourself for the unexpected. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst, that way when that nagging witch comes you have the elements needed to melt her bumpy-nosed, broom-carrying, potion-making ass down like Dorothy did in the Wizard of Oz. Naturally it takes more than H2O to demolish the demon but not much more than a solid character, will and dedication.

High Points:
Great meetings, excellent lunch, a little fun and the chance to meet new people. What a perfect work day! I would say that in the last 6-weeks I have meet and experience more pleasantry than I have in the last 5 years. With social networks and events, concerts and the occasional black tie affair I have amassed an impressive system of colleagues. Now instead of auditioning half-baked ideas to clients and potential customers, I call on them for business counsel and professional guidance. Way to go Mr. Business man!

Low Points:
Sometimes your greatest strength can also be your greatest weakness. Take words, for instance. I have become somewhat of a master at taking an idea and then transforming it into a theme. Then taking that theme and transforming it into a story, them taking that story turning it into a book. You get the point. Words have simultaneously become my greatest source of inspiration and the ideal catalyst for change. I believe we all have certain gifts and sometimes they actually come in handy but why do certain words seem to have a sting to them no matter how you say them. Words are so persuasive to the human psyche that, if unchecked they most certainly can destroy you and everything you stand for and believe in.

Question
What are you willing to give up in exchange for love?
