Discoveries:
Today I discovered that I am a good catch! I called my grandmother today and we spoke about the old days and which qualities really set the average man apart from the catch. The front runners were "manly man, hard worker, generous and handsome." However, I was surprised when she told me that if a man knew how to cook, helped out around the house and was handy with tools it was a huge turn on. Naturally this grossed me out because after all, it was coming from my old G. Nonetheless, I thought about how I could put a check mark next to each one. Sweet! I am a catch! Now it's time for me to get a big head, lose my humble approach to life and try to connect with as many admirers as I can, NOT! I am a simple man with principle.
High Points:
I feel really good about the fact that I can get my 3yr old to the daycare center in one piece and with matching clothes. To women this is a simple task, almost as easy as tying your shoes or blinking your eyes but not for me. I never know where anything is, I always forget something in the house, I leave late and find it nearly impossible to locate a nice outfit unless I choose my suit the night before. I have always had trouble with empathising with people and being able to identify with a persons situation but not anymore. Shame on me! Now I see how hard it is for single parents, especially women, to juggle it all and keep things in tact. Much love to all of the amazing mothers that get it done all by their damn selves!
Low Points:
I feel like I need to clone myself for all the wrong reasons. I feel the need to accomplish so much in life and make connections with so many people. Unless you use web conference it's impossible to be in two places at one time. Life is an infinite learning process and perhaps that is the beauty of it all because it contributes to the experience.
Question
If you could clone yourself, what would you do with the extra you?
