Grant me a grant

Discoveries:
Today I watched my new feature length short film entitled L’Armour Perdu. I LIKE!! I LIKE!! It was simply amazing watching a story that I conceived in my mind come to life on film. Every piece was in place and for all intensive purposes the movie just works. I had the opportunity to collaborate with some great minds and in the process it refueled my creative fire. Look out world!

High Points:
I have almost made it through week 1 at my new gig. I think I am falling in love with it. All the signs are there, we are spending time together, I can’t stop thinking about her and I am happy whenever I am near her. In addition, I have made some pretty solid partnerships with faculty and students in only a few days. This should be a wild ride.

Low Points:
There needs to be a loan or quickie government grant available to give starving artists like me the opportunity to keep creating films. The only way to get better is to practice and that, my friend, costs money. I don’t want to have to take out a 2nd mortgage on my crib and offer up my first born to get a project off of the ground. Any ideas?

Question
What are some of the most memorable movies you have ever seen?

Wizard of Oz, Coming to America, and Final Destination

Before I knew you were filming, I sent film grant opportunities to several folks. I will see if I can find the information. If so, hopefully they have rolling deadlines. Be in touch soon.
If not, please remind me. Thanks.

One of my favorite movies is Down in the Delta with Alfie Woodard & Wesley Snipes. This movie shows how a black family of different backgrounds bond together for one common cause and end up helping each other! 4 STARS!
