Discoveries:
Today I discovered that it is time to pen my sequel, metaphorically and in actuality. I have been back and forth with certain concepts in my mind with regards to my life and in reference to my newest novel (UnbeliEVAble: Yes, I purposefully capitalized the “E”, “V” and “A”) As writers grow and hone their craft I feel that they must also better their skill. I must make progress with each project. Besides, I promised myself and all of my fans that the sequel to my 2009 hit The Reunion would be better than the original. Creating a sequel that is better than the original has only occurred in Hollywood a few times, most notably, The Dark Knight starring Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger but that didn’t scare me. I used my own life as stimulus for my prosaic literary belligerence. With my life as the snapshot in front of the canvas I have all the color, drama, comedy, agony, happiness and love I need. On to the easy part, mimicking my memories.

High Points:
I feasted today! Pineapple, grapefruit, strawberries, lemons, bananas, ice cream but most importantly I feasted on the fruit of the spirit. Church was just what the doctor ordered today. I am not perfect, in fact I have many flaws but like Jacob I can see the ladder that stretches up towards heaven and although I am just a man (and sometimes a stubborn one) I acknowledge that anyone can change. I had a hard life growing up and experienced many challenges as a man but no matter where I fell, I ALWAYS knew where to stand. So as I now rise up to stand yet again I understand that it will be a tough walk but I must still walk. Point of note, in the past, I tried to walk using my own sight and that didn’t work out too well.
Themes for the Day
Real men pray
Themes for the Day
Real men pray
Just ask for forgiveness
If you happen to fall, get back up
Second chances are okay, really, they are
Saying “I’m sorry” is easy of you are genuine
Low Points:
I acknowledge that in a previous blog I detailed the extent of my glee and the happiness that poured out of my heart for my new phone but I take it all back. Touch screen phones are made for people with average sized hands and above average-sized patience levels. Please tell me why after owning my new phone for a week I still have not mastered sending text messages, adding appointments to my calendar, taking mobile pics and answering a bloody call? I tried to be get with the times but I miss my Blackberry! Research in Motion please take me back….
DAILY INSANITY:
Two Words: Revived Focus
Two Words: Revived Focus
Is it possible to derail one’s self? Absolutely, haven’t you guys seen the film Unstoppable with Denzel Washington? You know the one where that chubby guy has a bonehead moment and hops out of an unmanned locomotive instead of staying with the train and riding his route. Because of his inattention a statewide effort had to take place where Denzel and an entire federal crew had to get involved in order to avert danger and catastrophe. Grant it, it made for some excellent cinematic drama but in real life, when the wrong decisions are made people get hurt, in fact they sometimes die. If not literally, then psychologically, emotionally and any other kinds of “ally’s” you can think of. Thank goodness that we can get back on track!
