Hollywood

Discoveries:

Today I discovered that I have what it takes to be a movie star, well not so much. I did however articulate my contemplations and explicate my thoughts in such a way that Michael Baisden saw fit to give me a small role in his upcoming documentary Do Women Know What They Want which will debut at the African American Film Festival in Miami this July. Baisden’s edgy opinions and his ability to pull inner truths out of common people demonstrate that he has the ability to paint an amazingly gritty picture of the current state of relationships while offering hope and answers to the age old question  “Do women know what they want?”

High Points:
In keeping with the whole Hollywood theme, I thought about how I was afforded the opportunity. Let me first say that my chance encounter with Michael Baisden was not chance at all. Would it surprise you to know that I work for the parent company that syndicates and provides marketing for advertisers all across the country that find value in messaging consumers during his evening drive radio show? Just imagine the TV show MAD MEN without the tight suits, inner-office cigarette smoking and with more Black people. I was also given a last minute invitation to attend the private screening which was conveniently only four blocks away from said job. Would you be shocked if I said that I also was given a priority front row seat right next to the creator himself? How could it be that even after working a 10-hour day and a 2-hour evening continuing education course that my attire would still look crisp and dapper enough to help me stand out in rooms full other attractive men so that I could be selected to participate. How about the irony in being the first male to record and being hand-picked by the production team? Wow! It had nothing to do with me; it was a blessing from God. Dare I say divine order?

Low Points:

Why are insecure people so insane? Newsflash: Jealousy is a disease! If you feel like you need to keep tabs on your mate, keep track of their phone calls, show up unannounced, call your mates friends to fish for information, embarrass them publicly, ration the loving, hijack their Facebook page, key their car, shut off their cell phone, call their boss and tell the business, threaten to take the kids or smell their genitalia then you probably aren’t ready to be in a committed relationship. You absolutely don’t trust your partner and you have issues.

DAILY INSANITY:
One Word: PROJECT
I am not talking about the noun sense of the word describing a to-do-list item. I am talking about the synonym use of project like as in: You seen Tommy, he is so project! Instead of coming downstairs to open the door for his guest, he instead decided to yell out to his friend from his 5th floor window.
Okay,,,,that’s probably the silliest thing I wrote all day.
