Discoveries:
Today I discovered just how fast a car can drink up a tank of gas. Your friendly neighborhood writer and Creative Arts advocate burned through 87-grade fuel like it was Gatorade at a football practice. I hate to rant but seriously our nation’s thinkers need to conjure up some really cheap and really cool fuel alternative to help out us busy folks. Maybe we can try beans or water. Perchance corn or wind energy. We need relief! In the literal sense of the word, I drove about 300 miles in and out of the city. Between running my errands and seeing clients I am spent. Now I see why people use car service. I bet it’s worth every penny.
High Points:
Today I enrolled in yet another college course; Government II. A pesky requirement that on the surface seems trivial and pointless but after a rather engaging and direct discussion in class, I am now a fan of the political process and the obvious social slant that politics can help society weave, bureaucratically speaking. Take me going back to school, naturally I acknowledge that there are apparent gaps in the educational system, why else would a 5-time published author, filmmaker, radio host and Marketing Executive feel the need to attain a certification that he obviously doesn’t need in order to be successful [at least for now] in what many call this era’s toughest economy yet? Simple, it’s the challenge. I hate leaving a thing undone. Conceivably, the process of attaining said “piece-o-paper” will expose me to a higher level of thought. Maybe I will learn something, better yet; hopefully I will get an education.
Themes for the Day
-You have to know it all to be a KNOW-IT-ALL
-Study hard Mr. Williams and maybe I will give you an A!
-Should I memorize or truly try to digest the material I am reading
-How funny, they really think companies will just hand them a job when they graduate?
Low Points:
I haven’t broadcast a radio show in about three weeks and I’m starting to get hate mail. Well, not really. I have received a dozen or so emails from angry fans of the show that have blacklisted me for NOT bringing them content, guests and topics that are interesting, informative that simultaneously give them an opportunity to have a voice on matters. Shame on me; I guess I need to get back on the saddle. If you bring that horse out, you gotta ride em. I apologize publicly for failing to be off tha chain. I will get back on it. This week, I promise!

DAILY INSANITY:
Seven Words: Why Do College Textbooks Cost So Much?!?
$145 for a Math book, really, really. $110 for a graphing calculator, $5 for a packet of Scantrons and $6 for a mechanical pencil. How can common folk afford school! I shoulda had a V8 .
Question
What did you learn in college?
